Job summary

China CITIC Bank International is seeking an Assistant Vice President to drive FCC strategic process optimization. The role focuses on transaction monitoring and screening enhancements while ensuring deployments comply with operational controls and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Law, Business Administration, Statistics or related disciplines.
• 6+ years of banking/financial services experience preferred.
• Experience in project management and FCC system tuning, performance improvement, or platform upgrades is an advantage.
• Strong SQL and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and testing validation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua).

Responsibilities

• Lead and independently execute end-to-end projects related to FCC systems from initial design through post-implementation review.
• Drive continuous enhancements for transaction monitoring and screening systems to improve operational efficiency and standardization.
• Represent FCC in design, execution, and management of UAT lifecycle.
• Ensure deployments adhere to strict operational controls and risk-mitigation frameworks.
• Validate that updates, logic, or model tuning align with regulatory standards and compliance.
• Serve as liaison between FCC, ITG and stakeholders to translate compliance needs into technical specs.
• Oversee defect triaging during testing cycles and implement safeguards to minimize risks.
• Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks within FCC workflows to reduce false positives while maintaining controls.
• Maintain audit-ready project documentation, BRs, and UAT logs for transparency.
• Promote agile and data-driven transformation culture to CCG members.

This role drives projects related to FCC systems, specifically targeting transaction monitoring and screening optimizations. The incumbent safeguards the Bank by ensuring all system deployments adhere to strict operational controls, regulatory standards, and risk-mitigation frameworks. Serving as the bridge between FCC requirements and technical delivery, the role oversees system enhancements from initial design to post-implementation review.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and independently execute end-to-end projects related to FCC systems from initial design through to post-implementation review;
• Drive continuous enhancements for transaction monitoring and screening systems to improve operational efficiency and standardization;
• Serve as the primary FCC representative to design, execute, and independently manage the end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) lifecycle;
• Ensure all system deployments and transitional phases adhere to strict operational controls and risk-mitigation frameworks;
• Validate that all system updates, logic or model tuning, and platform changes fully align with applicable regulatory standards and compliance requirements;
• Act as the core liaison between FCC, ITG and other relevant stakeholders to translate compliance needs into robust technical specifications;
• Oversee defect triaging during testing cycles and implement manual oversight safeguards to minimize model and operational risks;
• Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks within FCC workflows to reduce false-positive drag while maintaining robust controls;
• Maintain audit-ready project documentation, business requirements, and UAT logs to ensure complete transparency for internal and external reviewers;
• Promote agile & data-driven transformation cultural to CCG members.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Law, Business Administration, Statistics or related disciplines;
• Minimum 6 years’ solid experience in banking industry or financial services is preferred;
• Prior experience in project management, and proven track record in FCC system tuning, performance improvement, or platform upgrade projects is an advantage;
• Highly proficient in SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and testing validation;
• Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight project deadlines;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
