Job summary

Po Leung Kuk's first IB World School in Tin Hau is seeking an Assistant Teacher to begin in October 2026. You will communicate effectively with students, teachers, staff and parents, supervise students during lessons and breaks, and implement inquiry-driven lesson plans while supporting small group work.

This role requires a Bachelor degree (Education or Early Childhood preferred), HK Registered Teacher status, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Education or Early Childhood Education; HK Registered Teacher status preferred.
• Excellent English communication and international-mindedness.
• Experience with inquiry-based teaching and differentiation using technology.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with students, teachers, staff and parents.
• Supervise students during lessons, breaks, mindfulness times and transitions to ensure safety.
• Implement inquiry-driven lesson plans and support small group work.
• Participate in meetings, workshops and professional development.
• Perform administrative tasks: record keeping, materials preparation, equipment setup.

Po Leung Kuk's first IB World School authorized to offer the PYP,opened in Tin Hau in August 2017 and is growing! Po Leung Kukis a well-established charitable organization in Hong Kong that has been serving the local community for more than 147 years.The Kuk provides diversified social services including education, welfare and recreation to the general public. We are now inviting high caliber personnel to apply for the position of:

Responsibilities:

Communicate effectively with students, teachers, staff and parents;

Supervise students during teacher-led lessons, breaks, mindfulness times and transitions to ensure student safety;

Implement inquiry-driven lesson plans and directions while teaching and supporting small group work;

Participate in meetings, workshops, professional development activities;

Perform various administrative tasks, such as record keeping, preparing materials, setting up equipment;

Develop positive, caring and meaningful relationships with students and colleagues: and

Supervise students and perform other ad hoc duties, as assigned.

Preferred:

Bachelor Degree, more preferred in Education or in Early Childhood Education;

Registered Teacher status in Hong Kong;

Understanding of differentiation strategies and technology as learning tools; and

Inquiry-based teaching experience.
