Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Safety Officer based in Hong Kong to oversee compliance with safety regulations on construction sites. Responsibilities include frequent inspections, training site personnel, and advising management on safety performance and accident investigations. The ideal candidate should be a registered Safety Officer with at least four years of experience in construction and possess a degree in Occupational Safety and Health. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese is also essential.

Qualifications

• Validly registered as a Safety Officer with the Labour Department.

• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Ensure the Safety Regulations are complied with by maintaining frequent site inspections, training and liaison with site personnel, subcontractors and government official.
• Assist site management in monitoring the safety performance of workers and to provide safety advice to site management from time to time.
• Ensure, with the assistance of qualified first aid personnel that all first aid facilities are available for use in emergency and all equipment legally required are maintained in good working condition.
• Assist in accident investigation, if any; and recommending present measures to the site management.

Requirements

• Registered Safety Officer with Labour Department;
• Bachelor Degree or Higher Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or construction related subjects;
• Minimum 4 year's experience in construction field;
• Good command of spoken and written English & Chinese;
