Role Overview
As a Junior Merchandiser, you will provide essential operational and administrative support to the Merchandising team across multiple product categories. You will act as a key liaison between suppliers, internal departments and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate order execution, timely follow‑up and smooth workflow.
This role is ideal for someone early in their merchandising career who is eager to learn, detail‑oriented and comfortable working in a fast‑paced international environment. You will be based in our new Sourcing Office in Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities
1. Order Management & Data Accuracy
- Enter purchase orders accurately and on time across assigned categories.
- Process PO updates including delivery extensions, cancellations, cost changes and quantity adjustments.
- Follow up on late orders, upcoming shipments and outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all systems reflect the latest information.
- Serve as a daily contact point for suppliers regarding PO updates, shipment status and documentation.
- Monitor Time & Action (T&A) calendars and follow up with vendors to ensure milestones are met.
- Collect shipping bookings and shipping documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate with Logistics to ensure suppliers follow correct shipping procedures.
3. Cross‑Functional Support
- Work with Accounts Payable, Planning, Distribution and other internal teams to resolve operational issues.
- Support Merchandisers and Buyers with reporting, data consolidation and administrative tasks.
- Prepare and run reports such as on‑order status, delivery tracking and shipment visibility.
4. Sample Management
- Organize, track and maintain product samples for internal reviews.
- Ensure samples are properly labelled, stored and returned to suppliers when required.
- Assist in preparing sample sets for meetings, presentations and product reviews.
5. Operational Support & Problem Solving
- Assist in resolving day‑to‑day issues related to orders, production timelines and supplier communication.
- Support special projects such as trend boards, recap reports and category analysis.
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and global offices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or tertiary education preferred.
- Initial experience in merchandising, sourcing, supply chain or a related field is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
- Proactive, adaptable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset and willingness to learn.
- Proficient in MS Office or Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides).
- Ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally if required.
