Job summary

FWD Group is seeking a Cloud Operations Lead to manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure and drive automation across a regional hybrid environment. You will lead a team in optimizing scale, reliability, and security for business systems and 7x24 support.

The role requires strong AWS/Kubernetes experience, IaC skills with Terraform/Ansible, and collaboration with security and development teams to deliver cost-effective, resilient cloud solutions across markets.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent with more than 6 years of relevant experience; at least 2 years in managerial level.
• AWS/Azure certification preferred; solid experience in regional hybrid environments with multi-AZ and multi landing zones.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, respond to, and resolve service issues; design tools and automation to prevent recurrence.
• Assist all support teams with cloud (AWS) questions and configuration.
• Provide security-related settings management for cloud (AWS) environments.
• Collaborate with developers, security, and project teams to maintain cloud infrastructure.
• Lead automation monitoring and reporting of cloud health, performance and cost.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code to improve accuracy and efficiency in operations.

PURPOSE

Lead and manage Cloud (AWS) Operation team to support FWD Group and BU to achieve business targets and goals To build a deep understanding of key business areas around the region to plan, develop and implement) infrastructure solutions that will deliver corporate and service specific objectives and meet the strategic priorities of the BU Develop, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible/ Terraform/ CloudFormation to support cloud operation Become a domain area expert in Cloud management

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

Evaluate, respond to, and resolve service issues, design tools and automation to prevent problem recurrence Assist all support teams and services with cloud (AWS) questions, systems settings, problem resolution Provide support to manage security-related settings of cloud (AWS) environment Work with developers, security team and other project teams to create and maintain the cloud (AWS) infrastructure Participate to create and maintain automated monitoring and reporting of cloud (AWS) infrastructure health, performance and cost control Manage the monitoring, updating, optimization, redundancy, stability of cloud (AWS) systems Implement Infrastructure as Code to improve accuracy and efficiency of cloud (AWS) operations Participate in any cloud (AWS) projects deemed necessary by the organization Ensure the team follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in day-to-day operations Lead the cloud (AWS) operation team to provide day-to-day support of FWD Group & BU and 7x24 hours support for business systems and ensure the shared service provided meet defined SLA Manage implementation of cloud program by coordinating all project management activities Establishing strong relations and partnerships with major vendors and system integrators to work with them in maximizing FWD’s investment in new technology

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Degree holder in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent with more than 6 years of relevant experience which 2 years in managerial level ITIL foundation certification with relevant experience in this area Holder of professional qualification(s) preferred, e.g. AWS/ Azure certification is highly desirable Solid experience in in regional hybrid environment, multi availability zones and multi landing zones environment Experience and knowledge of containers, orchestration tools and container administration, e.g. AWS EKS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as code (Ansible / Terraform) etc

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

Project management skill is preferred Advanced level in cloud (AWS) services, preferable with knowledge in multiple AWS services such as Compute, Storage, Containers, Serverless, Analytics, Database, Management & Governance Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible, Terraform Ability to participate in fast-paced DevOps and Engineering teams within Scrum agile processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Perseverance and rigor in the tasks to accomplish Ability to respect his commitments, prioritize tasks and follow procedure Oriented on teamwork, collaboration and knowledge sharing Excellent problem solving skills Autonomy
