Job summary

Save the Children Hong Kong Limited is seeking an Assistant Hong Kong Programme Manager to provide comprehensive administrative, operational, and coordination support to the Hong Kong Programme Team and drive high-quality programme delivery.

This role leads planning and implementation of projects, oversees stakeholder engagement with schools and NGOs, and supports reporting, communications, and safeguarding compliance to achieve meaningful outcomes for children.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Social Science, Public Administration, Education or Social Work.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in project management with at least 2 years supervisory/managerial level.
• Experience engaging with schools, NGOs, sports organizations, professional bodies or government agencies.

The Assistant Hong Kong Programme Manager will provide comprehensive administrative, operational, and coordination support to the Hong Kong Programme Team.

This position is responsible for coordinating the mental health programmes through creative interventions such as art, sports, and other innovative approaches. The role ensures the smooth planning and implementation of programme activities, fosters effective stakeholder engagement, and delivers high-quality reporting to drive meaningful and impactful outcomes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Programme Planning and Implementation

Take the lead in planning, coordination, and implementation of assigned projects in line with approved proposal and budget plan.

Monitor the progress of assigned projects and identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement in a timely manner.

Support the collection and analysis of service data and participant feedback to assess programme outcomes and impact.

Support budget monitoring by tracking expenditure, coordinating with relevant parties, and ensuring that spending is aligned with approved budgets and financial requirements.

Prepare high-quality narrative progress reports, financial reports, and other reporting materials as required.

Participate in ad-hoc projects and prepare presentation materials, miscellaneous papers.

Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Development

Establish and maintain connections with diverse stakeholders especially schools and NGOs in order to explore opportunities for delivering supportive programmes.

Identify and explore potential collaboration opportunities that strengthen programme outreach, service delivery, and impact.

External Communications and Visibility

Support the development of engaging communications and visibility materials, including promotional materials, case stories, and other content that demonstrates programme reach and impact.

Ensure that all communications materials comply with organisational branding, safeguarding, consent, and data-protection requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree of above, preferably in the field of Social Science, Public Administration, Education or Social Work · A minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in project management with at least 2 years at supervisory /managerial level, preferably in the NGOs, social service, charity or other related fields

Solid experience in managing complex projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders to achieve programme objectives

Experience engaging with schools, NGOs, sports organization, professional bodies, or government agencie.

Familiar with government policies or in-depth understanding on school-based and community service needs, particular in areas related to mental health, sports, and arts

Possess a can-do attitude and willing to learn

Strong interpersonal and communications skill, with the ability to engage effectively with people with various functions and levels

Self-initiated and responsible personality, able to work independently and multi-tasking with strong problem-solving skills

Proficiency in AI tools to optimize workflow efficiency is highly desirable

Willing to work outdoors and weekends when required

Strong alignment to Save the Children's mission and vision

This post is on a two-year contract basis.
