Reporting directly to the VP, Finance, the (Assistant) Financial Planning and Analysis Manager is expected to work independently and take ownership of the FP&A function.
The role is responsible for financial planning and analysis for TOPPAN Nexus, including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and business performance analysis. The role will partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and support management decision-making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Management Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Manage monthly management reporting and financial analysis.
- Prepare revenue forecasts, financial and operational performance reports and management review materials.
- Review actual performance against budget and forecast and explain key variances and underlying business drivers.
- Identify key business trends, risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to management.
- Work with business teams on actions to improve performance.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Work with business leaders and cost centre owners to ensure budgets and forecasts reflect business plans and expectations.
- Manage monthly revenue and financial forecasts.
- Review key assumptions and business drivers.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and continuously improve the forecasting process.
Business Partnering & Decision Support
- Build strong relationships with business leaders and cost centre owners.
- Provide financial insights to support business planning and management decisions.
- Provide financial analysis and modelling for investment decisions, business reviews and other initiatives.
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis when required.
- Challenge business assumptions constructively and provide an independent financial perspective.
- Identify opportunities to improve FP&A processes and management reporting.
- Improve the quality and efficiency of financial and operational data used for analysis.
- Develop and improve financial models, reports and dashboards.
- Use technology, automation and AI tools where appropriate to improve analysis, forecasting and reporting.
- Support Finance system implementation and process improvement projects.

Minimum Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis or a similar role.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and variance analysis.
- Experience in financial modelling and business decision support.
- Experience working with business leaders and senior management.
- Strong financial modelling, data analysis and digital skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with modern analytics and reporting tools.
- Comfortable using AI and automation tools to improve productivity, analysis and reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred), business intelligence or financial planning tools is an advantage.
- Experience in a multinational or regional organization is preferred.
- People management or team leadership experience is preferred.
