Job summary

Malvern College Hong Kong Limited seeks an experienced Finance Officer to independently handle day to day finance and accounts operations, including fee collection, banking and cash management. You will prepare monthly statements and assist in budgeting and cost analysis in a busy school environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Finance/Accounting qualification, is fluent in Mandarin, English and Cantonese, and has at least 3 years of accounting experience with strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Finance or Accounting.
• Student member of HKICPA or associate member of ACCA/CPA/CA/AICPA preferred.
• At least 3 years' accounting experience and general administration.
• Fluent in Mandarin, English and Cantonese.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel and Word.
• Relevant experience in audit is advantageous.
• Familiar with Sega300 preferred.
• Highly developed accounting, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Details oriented, flexible, team player, able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Candidates with more experience may be considered for the position of Finance Officer.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle day to day finance and accounts operations including fee collection, banking, cheque issue and expenses reimbursement
• Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts
• Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams in analyzing variances and cost analysis
• Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, monitoring and controls
• Prepare timely monthly consolidated financial statements, in-house reports and reconciliations
• Prepare budget, general ledgers and bank reconciliation
• Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies
• Provide administrative support and secretarial support to daily operation
• Assist in payment follow up, ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Fluent in Spoken Mandarin, English and Cantonese;

Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel and Word;

Relevant experience in audit is advantageous;

Familiar with Sega300 preferred;
