Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance with HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent and 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a listed logistics setting.

• 5 to 10 years of relevant finance experience, including audit exposure.
• Prior experience in a publicly listed company and logistics sector is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of HKFRS and HKEX Listing Rules.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational heads to provide strategic financial insights.
• Structure trade flows and assess contracts from finance/tax perspective.

Job description

We are seeking an energetic and commercially minded Assistant Finance Manager to join our finance team. This role serves as a crucial bridge between financial management and frontline operations (freight forwarding, warehouse management, and fleet operations).

Beyond standard financial reporting and overseas statutory compliance, you will act as a dedicated business partner to operational leads, drive data integration protocols, optimize team workflows, and ensure robust compliance across multi-jurisdictional frameworks and HKEX listing standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Business Partnering, Tax & Trade Structuring

Act as a direct finance business partner to operational heads, including Fleet management team, Forwarding team, and Warehouse team.

Structure operational trade flows and offer strategic financial insights on commercial proposals, client agreements, and business growth initiatives.

Address day-to-day operational finance queries regarding counterparty financial capability, regional tax planning, Transfer Pricing, VAT, and cross-border regulatory compliance.

Review client and vendor operational contracts from a finance, tax, and risk-mitigation perspective.

2. Finance Workflow & Operational Optimization

Monitor and optimize day-to-day finance team workflows to foster a collaborative, efficient, and well-distributed team environment.

Continuously evaluate and refine operational processes to enhance team output, speed, and agility in response to rapid business expansion.

Mentor and guide team members to ensure smooth operational execution and high output quality.

Coordinate between the Data Team and Operations to establish robust data transfer protocols and safeguard data quality at the point of ingestion.

Partner with financial accountants to leverage operational data into actionable, high-granularity internal reporting that reconciles seamlessly with general ledger records.

Continuously broaden the scope and depth of operational metrics to satisfy increasing management demand for detailed business intelligence.

4. External Stakeholder & Project Management

Exercise strong project management skills to drive deliverables with external parties, including external auditors, tax consultants, independent valuers, and tax authorities across various jurisdictions.

Facilitate interim/annual audits, tax filings, asset valuations, and statutory inquiries to ensure seamless execution.

5. Financial Reporting, Overseas Compliance & Listing Rules

Assist in preparing accurate and timely consolidated financial statements in compliance with Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS).

Review financial reporting, statutory accounts, and tax filings for overseas entities and subsidiaries to ensure global compliance.

Apply working knowledge of HKEX Listing Rules to support corporate transactions, disclosures, and business growth.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Professional qualification (HKICPA, ACCA, CPAA, or equivalent) is required.

5 to 10 years of relevant working experience in finance and accounting, including audit experience at a reputable CPA firm.

Prior experience in a publicly listed company and the logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or warehousing sector is a plus.

Strong technical grasp of HKFRS, HKEX Listing Rules, Transfer Pricing, and multi-jurisdictional tax regulations.

Hands-on experience reviewing overseas statutory accounts and managing cross-border finance matters.

Solid experience in financial consolidation, financial accounting, and data reconciliation.

Familiarity with cross-border trade flows, VAT structures, and customs considerations in logistics operations would be added advantage.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable interacting with frontline operational personnel as well as senior executive management.

Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.

Strong critical thinker with a self-motivated, highly adaptable approach to streamlining team workflows and operational efficiency.
