Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a HR/Personnel officer to support attendance and wages records, receive and record worker complaints, and assist with site HR coordination. The role requires stationing at the project site office and liaising with site staff.

The candidate should possess HKDSE or HKCEE (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of HR-related experience in the construction sector, with knowledge of HK labour laws and strong English/Chinese

Qualifications

• 2 years of full-time working experience in personnel management or HR-related duties; construction industry experience preferred
• Familiarity with Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and labour legislation
• Proficient in English and Chinese, both written and spoken

China State Hong Kong is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong, and is approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the five major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Port Works”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks”.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for checking and monitoring attendance and wages payment record of workers.
• Receive and record complaints from workers and provide assistance to them on wages payment and other employment issue.
• Provide support in coordination and HR tasks.
• Need to station on site's office.

Requirements

• Level 2 or above in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) or Grade “E” in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) including Chinese Language and English Language, or equivalent;
• 2 years of full-time working experience on personnel management or human resources related duties;Experience in construction industry is a MUST;
• Good knowledge and experience of the operation and practices of the construction industry is preferable; Well versed in Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and relevant labour legislation;
• Good command of both oral and written English and Chinese;
• Hands on experience in using MS office applications and Chinese word processing.
