Job summary

China Duty Free Group Co., Ltd. is seeking a Buying Assistant/Merchandising Assistant to support market research, planning, and vendor coordination in our Hong Kong fashion retail operations.

You will assist in buying plans, prepare documentation, and analyze historical data while maintaining balanced assortments and strong vendor partnerships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a buying assistant, merchandising assistant, or relevant fashion retail role.
• Strong understanding of the fashion buying cycle, retail math, and merchandising principles.
• Proven analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts).
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships (internal & external).
• Keen eye for fashion trends and product aesthetics.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and trend analysis.

4)SalesReporting,Analysis&StoreSupport

• Generateanddistributeregularsalesreports(daily/weekly/monthly).
• Analyzesalesbyproduct,category,store,andvendor;identifytrends,opportunities,andrisks.
• Provideactionableinsightsandrecommendationsbasedonanalysis.
• Monitorinventoryandassistinmanagingmarkdowns/promotions.
• Training:Prepareproductknowledgematerialsandtrainingguides.Leadorparticipateinstoreteamtrainingsessions(virtual/in-person)onproductfeatures,trends,andsellingpoints.
