Job summary

Santander in Hong Kong is seeking an Associate to support the development, structuring and execution of FX derivative and structured solutions for corporate clients across Asia. You will work closely with Sales and Trading to design customized products and risk-management solutions in FX and related asset classes.

The role requires strong analytical capabilities, product knowledge and the ability to translate market opportunities into practical, commercially viable structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of FX Structuring, FX Derivatives, Sales, Trading, or related Global Markets role.
• Strong understanding of FX derivatives, particularly FX options, including pricing, risk analysis and structuring concepts.
• Experience supporting corporate and/or institutional clients on hedging and risk management solutions.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modelling skills.
• Knowledge of regional FX markets and market conventions.
• Commercial mindset with strong client, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English; additional Asian or Latin American language skills are a plus.
• Experience with hedge accounting and/or deal-contingent hedging transactions would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Structure and develop customized FX solutions for primarily corporate clients and financial institution clients, and other assets class when required.
• Perform pricing, risk analysis and financial modelling to support transaction structuring and execution.
• Prepare client presentations, indicative term sheets and transaction documentation.
• Work closely with Quantitative, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Operations teams to ensure successful implementation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support new product development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the Global Markets franchise.
