Job summary

Argyll Scott in Hong Kong partners with a global life insurer to build out its regional AI Centre of Excellence, delivering AI-enabled products and workflows across Asia. As an AI Full Stack Developer, you will own products from user interfaces to agent integration and deployment, enabling users to interact with AI agents while ensuring governance and reliability across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience with recent production apps incorporating AI/LLM components.
• Experience building interfaces with React and TypeScript and deploying services in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience delivering REST or GraphQL APIs with clear versioning and documentation.
• Experience deploying containerised services using Docker and orchestrators (ECS/EKS).
• Familiarity with AWS services, security, networking and serverless paradigms.
• Ability to turn ambiguous product requirements into coherent user experiences and technical solutions.
• Proven track record embedding observability into product design.

AI Full Stack Developer — AI Products

Regional AI Centre of Excellence | Global Life Insurer
Location: Hong Kong; candidates based in the Philippines or India may also be considered
Experience: 4+ years of full-stack development, including recent delivery of production applications integrating LLM or AI components

The opportunity

We are partnered with a global life insurer to build out its regional AI Centre of Excellence, bringing AI-enabled products and workflows into its Asian businesses. The Centre combines engineering, data science and product expertise to translate emerging technologies into practical customer and operational capabilities.

As an AI Full Stack Developer, you will own products from user experience and application development through agent integration, deployment and ongoing improvement. Your work will enable users to interact with AI agents, understand their actions and intervene when needed—connecting modern interfaces with governed data and enterprise systems.

What you will do

• Build React and TypeScript interfaces that make agent activity, decisions and human intervention options clear.

• Develop Python/FastAPI services covering authentication, authorisation, session management and API contracts.

• Manage persistent conversation history, tool results, intermediate outputs and audit trails.

• Integrate agent orchestration frameworks, typed tool registries, multi-agent handoffs and MCP servers where appropriate.

• Implement human approval gates for sensitive or consequential actions.

• Deploy containerised products primarily on AWS, supporting GCP workloads where required, with infrastructure as code and automated delivery pipelines.

• Configure model routing to balance capability, latency and cost.

• Embed OpenTelemetry tracing, production evaluations and input/output guardrails, working closely with the Quality & Evals team.

What you will bring

• Strong Python skills across asynchronous programming, typing and testing.

• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and modern React experience, including hooks and state management.

• Experience developing REST or GraphQL APIs with clear versioning, documentation and compatibility.

• Hands-on deployment of containerised services using Docker, ECS, EKS or GCP equivalents.

• Production experience with an agent orchestration framework beyond the prototype stage.

• Strong AWS knowledge across access management, networking, data services, serverless and containers.

• Ability to turn ambiguous product requirements into coherent user experiences and technical solutions.

• A track record of incorporating observability into product design.

Preferred: GCP/Vertex AI; event-driven architectures; MCP server development; AI performance and cost dashboards; and AI governance knowledge.
