Job summary

Linklaters is seeking a Communications & Corporate Affairs Lead, Asia, to head the firm’s regional communications function. You will shape messaging, manage media engagement, protect reputational risk, and ensure transparent corporate reporting across Asia and globally.

With two direct reports and collaboration with global peers, you will deliver regional strategies, mentor teams, and oversee external partners to elevate Linklaters’ reputation in a fast‑moving, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading communications function(s) in Asia for a global organisation.
• Significant experience in media relations and crisis communications at executive level.
• Leadership experience including direct management and development of communications professionals.
• Deep familiarity with the region's media landscapes and existing strong network of media relationships.
• Experience delivering culturally-sensitive communication strategies.
• Strong experience coordinating cross-border, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements relating to public disclosures and communications in key jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the communications function in Asia, building trust among senior stakeholders and developing a reputation for excellence.
• Ensure the regional communications function and activities are connected to and consistent with the firm's global communications strategy and priorities.
• Develop and deliver a multi-stakeholder regional communications plan; oversee milestones on the regional communications calendar.
• Develop and implement regional strategies for media engagement; foster strong relationships with journalists and external stakeholders.
• Advise senior leadership and oversee the development and delivery of proactive media campaigns and thought leadership.
• Oversee the delivery of key communications collateral, ensuring readiness for public and regulatory scrutiny.
• Serve as regional communications point for high-profile reputational threats, coordinating responses per global frameworks.
• Analyse trends, monitor media coverage, and report insights for executive decisions and reputational risk.
• Manage engagement with other teams involved in planning and delivery in the region.
• Manage, develop and support two direct reports, fostering collaboration and growth.
• Manage relationships with external agencies engaged to support regional communications.
