Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a baker in a professional bakery or food production environment.
• Adequate knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and equipment for bread, pastry and cake production.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality baked goods consistently and to specification.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes and other baked products according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure all baked goods are produced to consistent standards in terms of taste and texture.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery area, including equipment, work surfaces and storage facilities.
• Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results and prevent product waste.
• Receive and store ingredients appropriately, checking for quality and expiration dates.
• Prepare doughs, fillings and toppings in advance as required for daily production schedules.
• Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of ingredients used and products produced.
• Follow all food safety regulations and company policies at all times.
