Job summary

Ocean Park Hong Kong is seeking a Tree Team Leader to manage tree works across Dry Park and Water World. You will lead the Tree Team, supervise pruning, removal, planting, transplantation, and IPM pest control while coordinating with arborists on park-wide safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years hands-on experience in agriculture, landscaping, or garden maintenance.
• At least 4 years supervising frontline landscaping staff and coordinating with others.
• Recognized tree climber and chainsaw operator required.
• Team Lead experience preferred.
• Experience operating gardening machinery and repairing gardening tools preferred.
• Experience in theme park, gardening, or landscape operations is a bonus.
• Knowledge of gardening management, fertilization, and IPM preferred.
• Strong communication and cross-department coordination skills required.
• Outdoor work environment adaptability essential.
• Ability to report to work early morning; weekend/public holiday work preferred.
• A valid HK Type II Driving License is a bonus.

Job description

The incumbent will work closely with Landscaping managers to carry out Tree Management strategy and deliver Tree works arrangement to the team to support Tree Safety in the park. As the Tree Team Leader for both Dry Park and Water World, the incumbent oversees tree work across both parks, leads the Tree Team in conducting regular checkups and inspections, and collaborates with arborists on park-wide tree safety concerns. This role oversees and carries out tree work, including pruning, tree removal, IPM pest control, tree planting, and transplantation within the park. Additionally, the role provides supervision to the team, monitors staff performance, and equips staff with the knowledge and skills required for tree work.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in agriculture, landscaping, or garden maintenance is required
• At least 4 years of experience in supervising frontline landscaping staff and working effectively with others is required
• Recognized tree climber and chainsaw operator is required
• Team Lead experience is preferred
• Solid experience in operating gardening machinery and skills in repairing gardening tools are preferred
• Experience or exposure in the theme park, gardening, or landscape industry, or related operations is a bonus
• Comprehensive knowledge of gardening management, fertilization, and integrated pest management is preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate work within a team and across departments are required
• Adaptable to outdoor working environment
• Report to work in early morning, capable to work on weekends and public holidays preferred
• A valid type II Hong Kong Driving License is a bonus
