Job summary

EMW (Hong Kong) Trading Company Limited seeks an Accounting Assistant/Officer to support finance operations, focusing on AR and AP functions. You will report to the Finance Manager and assist with month-end closing, reconciliations, and audit preparation.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 1 year in trading or wine industries, and proficiency with SAP Business One and Excel. Cantonese, English, and Mandarin are valued for cross-border collaboration.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in the trading or wine industry with an accounting background.
• Practical knowledge or prior experience in full-set accounting is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Business One is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Working knowledge of AI tools and office productivity software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical aptitude.
• Well-organized with the ability to efficiently manage high-volume transactions.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
• Proactive work ethic with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
• Good command of Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) operations, including invoicing, receipt posting, cheque deposits, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare billing statements, respond to customer inquiries, and perform regular account reconciliations with clients.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts in coordination with internal departments.
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP), inventory/asset tracking, and schedule reconciliations.
• Support month-end financial closing, reporting schedules, and annual audit preparation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with internal financial control policies.
• Assist with ad-hoc finance projects and tasks assigned by the Finance Manager.
