Job summary

Captiare in Hong Kong is seeking an Application Architect to provide technical assurance for complex production changes, assess solution design, cross-system dependencies, implementation risks, resilience, and recovery readiness.

Advising the Change Advisory Board, leading failed-change analysis, and contributing to engineering and architecture improvements across teams will be core responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, system analysis, production support, or related technical role.
• Hands-on Java programming experience, including design, code-impact analysis, troubleshooting, and effort estimation for system changes.
• Experience developing, supporting, or reviewing microservices, REST APIs, and system integrations.
• Working knowledge of cloud and container concepts with practical deployment/support on cloud/container platform.
• Experience supporting production releases, including planning, deployment, testing, validation, fallback, and monitoring.
• Working knowledge of source control, build processes, CI/CD, configuration, logging, and monitoring.
• Experience reviewing technical solutions, coordinating issue resolution across teams, and communicating risks to stakeholders.
• Good written and spoken English.

My client, a regional bank, seeks an experienced Application Architect that provides technical assurance for complex production changes by assessing solution design, cross-system dependencies, implementation risks, resilience, and recovery readiness. Advising the Change Advisory Board, leading failed-change analysis, and contributing to engineering and architecture improvements.
Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, system analysis, application support, production support, or a related technical role.
• Hands-on Java programming experience, including application design, code-impact analysis, troubleshooting, and effort estimation for system changes.
• Experience developing, supporting, or technically reviewing microservices, REST APIs, and system integrations involving one or more technologies such as databases, messaging, batch processing, or file transfer.
• Working knowledge of cloud and container concepts, with practical exposure to deploying, configuring, supporting, or troubleshooting applications on a cloud or container platform.
• Experience supporting production releases, including implementation planning, deployment, testing, validation, fallback preparation, and post-implementation monitoring.
• Working knowledge of source control, build processes, CI/CD, application configuration, logging, and monitoring.
• Experience reviewing technical solutions or changes, coordinating issue resolution across teams, and communicating technical risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Good written and spoken English.
