Job summary

Swiss Re in Hong Kong leads the APAC Life & Health Contracts function, overseeing drafting, governance and risk reviews within a high-volume underwriting setting. You will partner with APAC leadership and the Global Head of L&H Contracts to modernize workflows and accelerate GenAI-enabled practices across the region.

You will head a regional team of nine Contracts Specialists across APAC, guiding capability development, collaboration, and consistency.

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years in Life & Health (re)insurance contracting, including drafting and negotiation of (re)insurance agreements.
• Demonstrated commercial judgment and ability to articulate risk trade-offs.
• Proven people leadership experience across multiple locations and markets in a regulated reinsurance environment.
• Experience driving workflow modernization and GenAI-enabled practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract drafting discipline, governance, and in-force contractual risk review within a high-volume underwriting environment.
• Serve as a business partner translating underwriting intent and legal advice into disciplined contract execution.
• Own deviation governance, negotiation consistency, and contractual analysis across APAC.
• Lead a regional team of nine Contracts Specialists across multiple APAC locations and partner with cross-functional stakeholders.
