APAC Compliance Lead – Data, DR&A & E-Trading

Job summary

Bloomberg APAC Compliance team in Hong Kong provides coverage across Bloomberg’s products and services. Based in Hong Kong, you will lead regional DR&A initiatives and support Bloomberg's electronic trading business in North APAC, while advising business stakeholders on regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with global Compliance and Risk teams to identify and manage risks, requiring fast learning and a background in financial markets and technology.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of compliance experience in financial markets, data governance or electronic trading.
• Experience drafting policies, procedures and reports for regulators or management.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication; presentation skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong collaborative relationships with regional Directors of Research, Editorial teams, Pricing Sales and Data Analysts.
• Advise on application of regulations for DR&A and data governance, and support risk teams to implement into processes.
• Provide Compliance advisory coverage of electronic trading services and products, including regulatory reporting and incident handling.
• Represent the Compliance team in major business proposals and regulatory change initiatives.
• Assist to implement and maintain the firm’s Compliance program, including policies and procedures.
• Prepare and deliver Compliance training addressing employee needs and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate internal audits and regulatory inspections, including responses to inquiries and surveys.
• Implement Compliance controls and work with technology support to enhance gaps identified.
