Job summary

Baker Tilly Hong Kong is seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst in Information Technology Risk Advisory to perform IT risk assessments and IT audits for diverse clients, including IPO candidates and listed companies. You will engage with clients, document risks and controls, and stay updated on IT security trends.

The role requires a degree in IT/IS/CS or accounting, 2+ years in IT internal audit or cybersecurity, and strong English/Chinese communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Information Systems, IT, Information/Cyber Security, Computer Science or Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years in IT internal audit, IT risk or cybersecurity.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CCSP, or ISO27001 lead auditor preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of IT security concepts and frameworks (COBIT, ISO27001, NIST).
• Proficiency in English and Chinese is required; Cantonese and Mandarin are preferred.
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients to assess IT and business processes, risks, and controls.
• Identify control deficiencies and provide actionable recommendations.

BAKER TILLY HONG KONG is recruiting an analyst who will work at one of our operating units,BTCCorporate Governance Limited ('BTCGL'). BTCGL is one of the largest and most active internal control consultancy firms in the Hong Kong capital market, and specialises in providing a wide range of consultancy services, e.g. risk advisory, internal control, compliance advisory, financial due diligence, IT system review, ESG reporting, and forensic accounting, etc. to its clients, including IPO listing candidates and listed companies, in a highly diversified client portfolio of different industry exposures.

Analyst / Senior Analyst - Information Technology Risk Advisory

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct IT risk assessment and IT audits, in areas covering IT general controls and application controls, and the use of computer-assisted audit techniques
• Conduct client interviews, understand and assess IT processes, business processes, risk and controls
• Identify internal controls, analyze control deficiencies and provide recommendations
• Prepare or review workpapers, reports and other documents, and communicate the project progress and results to the process or control owners, management of the clients, and other relevant parties
• Stay updated with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to IT auditing and security, and continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills

Requirements

• Bachelor/Master's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Information/Cyber Security, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in IT internal audit, IT risk or cybersecurity function
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CCSP, or ISO27001 lead auditor are preferred but not a must
• Strong understanding of IT network/application security, IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and security controls is preferred
• IT audit related work experience in an accounting firm is preferred
• Knowledge in industry frameworks and standards such as COBIT, ISO27001, and NIST, etc.
• Good command of written English and Chinese
• Fluent in spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Analyst
• Immediately available is highly preferred
