Job summary

Melco Resorts & Entertainment is seeking an Analyst to manage database, data interface/ETL and data warehouse operations in its global IT environment.

You will monitor, patch, and administer databases across Windows, Linux and Unix, while supporting development teams and ensuring high availability and DR readiness. Strong SQL skills and BI tool experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in enterprise database environments such as MS SQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows, Linux, Unix, and SQL.
• Experience with enterprise cloud environments and virtualization (AWS/Azure/GCP, VMware) is a plus.
• Experience supporting data integration platforms and BI analytics tools (Tableau/Power BI) is advantageous.
• Gaming industry exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide Enterprise IT 24x7 database, data interface/ETL and data warehouse operations support.
• Perform daily monitoring, analysis, patch management and administration on databases and data warehouse.
• Collaborate with IT teammates to ensure optimal performance and minimal database issues.
• Automate database housekeeping and monitoring, including capacity planning, backup and job scheduling.
• Set up and deploy databases in Development, UAT, and Production environments.
• Assist application support developers for troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Prepare and update installation, configuration and administration documentation.
• Maintain High-Availability and Disaster Recovery for database and data warehouse platforms.
• Enforce database standards and ITIL/ISO etc. policies.

Analyst, Database and Big Data Administration

The successful candidate will work as a part of system operations team to perform daily database, data interface/ETL and data warehouse support of the company’s global IT operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide Enterprise IT 24x7 database, data interface/ETL and data warehouse operations support

Perform daily monitoring, analysis, patch management and administration on databases, data interface/ETL and data warehouse.

Work with different IT teammates to ensure optimal performance and minimal database issues.

Automate database and data warehouse housekeeping and monitoring, including capacity management/planning, backup and job scheduling.

Set up and deploy databases in Development, UAT, and Production environment.

Assist application support specialist and developers for troubleshooting and performance tuning.

Prepare and update relevant documentation for installation, configuration and administration of the databases, data interface/ETL and data warehouse.

Maintain High-Availability and Disaster Recovery on database, data interface/ETL and data warehouse platform.

Enforce database standards, guidelines and operational policies and procedures in accordance to SOX/ISO20000/ISO27001/ITIL standards

Qualifications:

Experience

2+ years hands-on experience in enterprise database environment e.g. MS SQL, MongoDB, and MySQL database administration and/or development.

Possess good working knowledge of Window, Linux, Unix, SQL.

Knowledge and hands-on experience on enterprise cloud environment and virtualization technology will be an advantage, e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, VMWare etc.

Experience on supporting enterprise data integration platform and business intelligence analytics tool will be a definite advantage, e.g. YellowBrick, Tableau, and Power BI etc.

Gaming industry exposure will be an advantage.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant qualifications

Microsoft DBA certifications, or equivalent will be an advantage

Good problem-solving, interpersonal and analytical skills

Able to work under pressure and tight schedule, independently and proactively

Able to communicate with English
