Job summary

Pinpoint Asia is supporting a global life insurer's regional technology hub in Hong Kong. They seek a senior technical leader to own the greenfield AI system for policy administration and automated underwriting across Asia, working with regional product owners and market IT teams.

You will dig into data mappings, evaluate ML inputs, and review integration points with engineers, while ensuring robust vendor governance and deployment practices across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Technical Program Management/Architect roles within Insurance or InsurTech.
• Strong grounding in data pipelines, system integration, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/AliCloud).
• Deep knowledge of Policy Administration or Underwriting domains.
• Proven track record taking platforms from zero to live production with vendor oversight.
• Excellent English; Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical execution of a greenfield AI system for policy administration and automated underwriting across Asia.
• Dive into data mapping issues, assess ML model inputs, and audit integration points with software engineers.

They operate with a flat engineering structure where technical depth and execution matter far more than corporate slide decks.

The Role & Landscape:

• Lead the end-to-end technical execution of a greenfield AI system focused on policy administration and automated underwriting across Asia markets.
• Get directly into the technical mechanics—debug data mapping issues, evaluate ML model inputs, and audit system integration points alongside software engineers.
• Hold external vendors and delivery partners accountable by reviewing their underlying system architecture, data models, and deployment pipelines.
• Work closely with regional product owners and market IT teams to translate complex insurance rules into practical engineering requirements.
• Establish change management and technical deployment guidelines across regional platform releases.

What We Are Looking For:

• 10+ years as a Technical Program Manager, Lead Solutions Analyst, or Architect within insurance or InsurTech.
• Proven technical grounding in data pipelines, system integration, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or AliCloud), and core AI/ML mechanics.
• Deep functional domain knowledge in core insurance operations (specifically Policy Administration Systems or Underwriting).
• Demonstrated experience taking technical platforms from zero to live production (BAU), including vendor oversight.
• Strong written and spoken English; conversational or professional Mandarin is a distinct advantage.
