Job summary

Michael Page in Hong Kong is seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join an AI and technology platform. You will provide day-to-day legal advice on commercial, operational and strategic initiatives, with a focus on AI, data privacy and cybersecurity issues.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years PQE, experience from top law firms or in-house teams, and strong stakeholder management and communication skills to collaborate with product, engineering, security and compliance teams.

Qualifications

Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience preferred.
Background from a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team.
Exposure to technology, AI, cybersecurity, data privacy, or related practice areas is advantageous.
Strong understanding of AI tools and their practical applications within the legal industry.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day legal advice to business stakeholders on commercial, operational and strategic initiatives.
Advise on legal and regulatory issues relating to artificial intelligence, machine learning, data usage, intellectual property, cybersecurity and digital products.
Partner with product, engineering, security and compliance teams to identify and mitigate legal risks.
Capture client feedback and market insights to improve customer engagement and business strategies.
