Job summary

Lenovo in Hong Kong is seeking an Engineer for Hyper-Scale Cluster Platforms to advance Kubernetes-based cluster management and resource orchestration across client infrastructures. You will design scalable scheduling frameworks supporting containers, VMs, and AI workloads in vast data-center pools.

The role requires hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes and programming in Python/Go/C++/Rust/Java, plus fluency in Cantonese/Mandarin and English.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S in CS/CE with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing cloud/resource management and job scheduling.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (Python, Go, C++, Rust, Java).
• Fluent in Cantonese/Mandarin and English.

Responsibilities

• Engineer Hyper-Scale Cluster Platforms: enhance Kubernetes-based cluster management for performance and scalability.
• Advance Unified Scheduling to support diverse workloads in massive-scale pools.
• Develop intelligent scheduling systems to optimize across CPU/GPU/memory/network/power.
• Deliver maintainable code and stay aligned with open-source AI/ML, distributed systems and serverless trends.
