Job summary

Robert Half Hong Kong Limited is seeking an AI Engineer to join an established AI team. The role involves designing and building AI applications, enabling agentic solutions, and improving development productivity using AI-assisted tools.

You will engineer AI-enabled workflow automation, monitor performance and reliability, and ensure governance, privacy, and risk management across solutions while collaborating with software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant professional certifications in cloud, AI, cybersecurity, or software engineering are an advantage.
• 5 years of overall software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on AI development (GenAI, RAG, LLMs or agentic AI).

Responsibilities

• AI & Agentic Solution Development: Design and build advanced AI applications, next-generation context platforms, and software components for intelligent automation and agentic solutions.
• Developer Productivity: Deploy and manage AI-assisted coding tools to foster secure and efficient application development lifecycle practices.
• Workflow Automation & Integration: Engineer AI-enabled workflow automation solutions utilizing APIs, scripting, cloud platforms, and orchestration frameworks to streamline complex business processes.
• System Reliability & Monitoring: Establish robust performance tracking for AI applications—monitoring model behaviour, usage metrics, error rates, latency, operational costs, and user adoption; support incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Responsible AI & Governance: Integrate data privacy, cybersecurity, risk management, and responsible AI principles into solution design (including prompt injection mitigation and data leakage prevention).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and business units to deliver scalable solutions from PoC to production rollout.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline Relevant professional certifications in cloud, AI, cybersecurity, or software engineering are an advantage
• 5 years of overall software engineering experience, including a minimum of 2 years of hands-on AI development (specifically involving GenAI, RAG, LLM applications, or agentic AI solutions)
• Mandatory proficiency in Python and Java, backed by strong coding, debugging, and testing capabilities
• Proven track record of delivering AI applications successfully from initial proof-of-concept through production deployment and post-implementation support
• Strong software engineering foundation encompassing API development, system integration, cloud platforms, and workflow orchestration frameworks
• Practical familiarity with AI security controls, risk assessments, and model validation practices; highly self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills under tight timelines
