Job summary

Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an AI/ML engineer to design and develop end-to-end AI applications for business and enterprise use cases, focusing on production-grade systems.

You will build scalable machine learning and AI solutions, implement RAG pipelines, leverage LangChain, Azure OpenAI, and containerized deployments with Docker/Kubernetes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document architecture decisions to ensure scalable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience developing AI, machine learning, or AI-powered software solutions.
• Proven experience building and engineering production-grade AI systems.
• Strong hands-on experience within the Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem.
• Practical experience with Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search.
• Solid understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture and implementation.
• Experience building Agentic AI systems with tool-calling, orchestration, and autonomous workflow capabilities.
• Hands-on knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar AI frameworks.
• Strong Python programming skills for AI development and system integration.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift deployment environments.
• Knowledge of AI performance optimisation, monitoring, and testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end AI applications for business and enterprise use cases.
• Build and maintain scalable machine learning and AI solutions for NLP and computer vision applications.
• Develop and optimise Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including vector search, retrieval, embedding, and ranking processes.
• Create Agentic AI workflows featuring multi-step reasoning, tool integration, orchestration, and memory capabilities.
• Leverage Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and related Azure AI services to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Implement AI applications using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Semantic Kernel.
• Conduct system evaluation, performance tuning, A/B testing, and production monitoring.
• Deploy and manage AI applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift environments.
• Collaborate with application development teams to integrate AI capabilities into web and mobile platforms.
• Research emerging AI technologies including Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI interoperability concepts.
• Produce technical documentation and participate in architecture reviews and code reviews.
• Ensure AI solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.
