Job summary

Intact is seeking AI Developer interns in Hong Kong for the Winter 2027 or Summer 2027 terms. Based in Science Park, Hong Kong, the role offers a hybrid work arrangement and the chance to work with a diverse team of data scientists, software engineers, and actuaries.

You will apply machine learning and NLP/LLM to real customer problems, with opportunities to grow your leadership and technical skills within a global insurer.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, science, engineering, statistics, AI, computer science or a related field.
• Available to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week, for the Winter 2027 term (January to April) or Summer 2027 term (May to August).
• Must be an active student during your internship and/or returning to school following your internship.
• Relevant experience in predictive modelling, machine learning and advanced statistics solving business problems is an asset.
• Unlimited curiosity and a passion to challenge the status quo.
• Ability to focus on vaguely defined issues requiring the application of a creative approach.
• Excellent communication, organization and a collaborative attitude.
• Self-reliant with a strong sense of responsibility.

Here, your career will take off

We are looking for AI Developer interns who can commit to a minimum of 3 months for our 2027 AI Developer Internship/Co-op for our Winter term, January to April or Summer 2027 term (May to August). This position is based in Science Park, Hong Kong with the opportunity to work in a hybrid arrangement.

As a AI Developer I, you will:

• Use machine learning and advanced statistics to help build innovative solutions for real-life customer and business problems

• Transform complex datasets into meaningful conclusions and recommendations

• Grow alongside a diverse team of world-class experts in data science, software engineering, actuarial science, business, and design

• Collaborate with our teams in HK & Canada to share knowledge, learnings, and tools

• Skills required: Python, NLP/LLM

• Familiar with our tech stack: scikit-learn, xgboost, pytorch, tensorflow, LightGBM, pandas, etc.,

Here’s what you bring to the table:
