Job summary

Fano Labs is seeking an AI Data Project Specialist to support our AI Data Project Managers in delivering data labelling and collection projects, coordinating part-time teams and vendors, and partnering with Customer Success and BD teams to provide second-line data support.

You will own and drive data quality, work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate across teams to improve our AI models while maintaining high standards and ethical data practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• At least 1 year of work experience, preferably in the technology industry.
• Experience in data sourcing or data annotation for speech recognition is a plus.
• Good written and spoken English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
• Strong ownership and delivering results: taking responsibility for tasks and outcomes, reliably meeting commitments, and consistently achieving goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Data Project and Operations Management (with the Data Team, Part-Time Teams, and Vendors): Work with AI Data Project Managers to deliver data labelling and collection projects with high quality, on time, and within budget.
• Conduct hands-on quality checks to ensure data reviewed by our Quality Assurance (QA) team meets the target accuracy rate.
• Recruit part-time teams and source vendors for data labelling and collection projects.
• Train part-time teams and vendors on data labelling rules and the use of our labelling software.
• Data Support for Customer Projects and Sales (with the Customer Success, BD, Research and Data Teams): Partner with the Customer Success and BD teams to provide second-line support from a data perspective, helping to enhance our AI models to meet customer needs. Where needed, this involves:
• Supporting first-line analysis by jointly investigating customer feedback and giving advice based on your knowledge of our data.
• Discussing findings with the Research team, together with the Customer Success and BD teams, in order to identify the information we need to request from customers for model enhancement.

As an AI Data Project Specialist, you will join an energetic team and support our AI Data Project Managers in delivering the data projects that power our AI products and enable customer success, including helping to manage part-time teams and vendors. You will also partner with our Customer Success and BD teams to provide second-line support from a data perspective.
