Job summary

Allied World is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our Asia-Pacific pricing team in Hong Kong. You will support pricing across all business lines, develop rating models, and collaborate with underwriters to refine methodologies.

You will work on profitability reviews, online rating platform development, and deliver key metrics to senior management while contributing to pricing automation and analytics workflows.

Qualifications

• Recently graduated, or up to 2 years of experience as an actuary working in General Insurance or Data Analytics.
• Proficiency with Excel, VBA; programming in Python, SAS, and R is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, time management and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Developing new rating models and maintaining a collaborative dialogue with underwriters to refine existing models.
• Providing pricing indications for individual large accounts
• Supporting the development of online rating platforms
• Working closely with underwriters to conduct actuarial profitability reviews presented to senior management
• Reporting of key metrics to senior management on a regular basis
• Support automation and enhancement of pricing processes, reporting, and analytical workflows
• Any other duties assigned by manager

What the role entails:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic Asia-Pacific pricing team which supports all business lines in the region. The Actuarial Analyst will play a key role in supporting our function by turning business needs into actionable solutions, through:

• Developing new rating models and maintaining a collaborative dialogue with underwriters to refine existing models
• Providing pricing indications for individual large accounts
• Supporting the development of online rating platforms
• Working closely with underwriters to conduct actuarial profitability reviews, which are presented to senior management

What do you need to bring?

• Recently graduated, or up to 2 years of experience as an actuary working in General Insurance or Data Analytics
• Bachelor\'s degree in actuarial studies, mathematics, statistics, data analytics or related fields
• Proficiency with Excel, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
• Programming experience would be beneficial, particularly in Python, SAS, and R
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
