Job summary

SR Wealth Securities Limited is seeking an experienced accounting and finance professional to oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting for a securities and investment business in Hong Kong. You will handle regulatory reporting, audits, FRR submissions, and provide insightful analysis to support strategic initiatives, while strengthening internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience in securities brokerage or financial institution.
• Knowledge of Hong Kong FRR, SFC regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with regulatory returns and audits.
• Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of MYOB is a plus.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including P&L reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare timely monthly and year-end financial reports.
• Perform month-end closing, consolidation, and financial analysis.
• Prepare FRR returns and regulatory reports for SFC.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Operations on transactions and valuations.
• Manage accounting for equity derivatives products such as TRS and options.
• Strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors for audits and filings.
• Provide management reports and analytical materials for senior management and board.
• Support strategic business initiatives and ad hoc projects.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced accounting and finance professional to oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting for a securities and investment business. The role will support accurate regulatory reporting, financial analysis, audit and tax processes, and strategic business initiatives while strengthening internal controls and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations, including profit and loss reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.

Prepare, review, and ensure the timely and accurate completion of daily, monthly, and year-end financial reports.

Perform month-end closing, consolidation, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Prepare and review Financial Resources Rules (FRR) returns and other regulatory reports required by the SFC.

Work closely with Front Office and Operations teams to verify transactions, valuations, and financial data.

Manage accounting and financial reporting for equity derivatives products, including Total Return Swaps (TRS) and options.

Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and enhance operational efficiency.

Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors regarding annual audits and tax filings.

Prepare management reports, financial presentations, and analytical materials for senior management and board meetings.

Provide financial analysis and support on business initiatives, transactions, and strategic projects.

Participate in ad hoc projects and corporate initiatives as assigned.

Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance function.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience gained from a securities brokerage, licensed corporation, investment firm, or financial institution.

Strong knowledge of Hong Kong Financial Resources Rules (FRR), SFC regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.

Hands-on experience in preparing regulatory returns and dealing with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Familiarity with accounting for securities trading and derivatives products is highly desirable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Experience with MYOB or other accounting systems is an advantage.

Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Immediate availability or short notice is highly preferred.
