Job summary

Links International in Hong Kong is seeking an Accountant - Regional AP to manage accounts payable across Asia. The role involves reviewing vendor invoices, processing payments, and performing reconciliations to support accurate month-end closes.

You will liaise with regional stakeholders and vendors, support intercompany activities, and contribute to process improvements while gaining exposure to general ledger and full-set accounting. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• 3–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an MNC.
• Hands-on Accounts Payable experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and month-end closing.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems is an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Handle regional Accounts Payable activities across multiple markets in Asia.
• Review and process vendor invoices, employee expenses and payment requests.
• Coordinate payment runs and ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Perform vendor account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding or unreconciled items.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors across different countries on invoice and payment-related matters.
• Support month-end closing activities, including AP reconciliation, accruals and related accounting entries.
• Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations where required.
• Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with internal policies and controls.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Participate in process improvement and finance system enhancement initiatives.
• Work closely with the wider regional finance team and gradually gain exposure to general ledger, month-end closing, reporting and full-set accounting.
• Take on broader accounting responsibilities as part of the company's planned job rotation and career development programme.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Around 3-6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably gained within an MNC or sizeable corporate environment.
• Hands-on experience in Accounts Payable is preferred.
• Candidates with AP experience who are keen to develop into full-set accounting / general accounting are highly encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles, reconciliation and month-end closing processes.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems would be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail with good numerical and analytical skills.
• Proactive, responsible and willing to learn beyond the candidate's current area of responsibility.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with regional stakeholders.
• Good command of written and spoken English is essential, as English is the primary working language.
