Job summary

BIT is seeking an experienced accountant to manage the full set of accounts, close processes, and regulatory reporting. You will work with auditors and tax teams to ensure timely filings while enhancing financial controls and accuracy.

The role requires 2–5 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication. A proactive, reliable team player who can work under tight deadlines is essential.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in accounting with 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Existing auditors from a Big 4 firm are welcomed.
  • Proactive, responsible, and able to meet deadlines with strong communication.

Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts with journals, schedules, and reconciliations for monthly closings.
  • Assist with annual statutory audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with tax team to provide timely information for filings.
  • Prepare and review financial reporting submissions for regulators.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and support internal stakeholders.
  • Improve internal controls and document accounting procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Support ad-hoc finance projects as needed.
  • And other duties within the finance field as required.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work on full set of accounts and prepare the necessary (e.g. journals, schedules, reconciliations) with full supporting calculations/documentation/explanations, to ensure accurate and timely monthly and year end close processes;
  • Work with auditors on annual statutory audit to ensure compliance;
  • Work with tax team to provide timely and accurate information, and/or assist with tax filings to ensure that these are completed on time;
  • Prepare/review financial reporting submissions for regulators
  • Monitor financial metrics as required
  • Provide financial/accounting support to relevant internal stakeholders;
  • Review, enhance, participate and implement financial control process improvement;
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate policies & procedures and accounting standards;
  • Assist in any ad-hoc projects that develop within the Finance Department;
  • And any other duties assigned in the finance field.
Job Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in accounting with at least 2- 5 years of relevant accounting experience;
  • Existing auditors from a Big 4 firm are welcomed;
  • Good working attitude;
  • Sense of responsibility, self–motivated and resourceful to complete set of responsibilities;
  • Well verse in Microsoft Excel;
  • Pro-active and motivated to acquire knowledge;
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
  • Reliable and results oriented team player
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and stress.
