Job summary

Tai Pan Laundry in Hong Kong seeks an Accountant to support the finance team in day-to-day operations and maintain accurate accounting records. You will handle daily accounting functions, manage AR/AP processes, assist in month-end close, and provide reports for management and external auditors.

The role requires a Diploma/ Higher Diploma in Accounting or Finance with at least 3 years of accounting experience, excellent Excel skills, and fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting functions and full set of accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable, credit and pricing control.
• Assist AR/AP operations and month-end closing.
• Prepare AR aging and credit control reports.
• Perform credit control according to policy.
• Validate contracts, pricing, and rebate settings in the system.
• Support billing and accounts receivable operations.
• Monitor cash flow position and payables/receivables analysis.
• Assist monthly close and group financial reports.
• Liaise with external auditors and handle financial inquiries.
• Participate in ad hoc assignments and procurement records.

Job description

Working alongside an incredible team at Tai Pan Laundry, we seek an Accountant to join the team. This role will provide comprehensive support to the finance team in the department's day-to-day operations.

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for daily accounting functions.
• Handle the full set of accounts independently.
• Responsible for accounts receivable (AR), credit and pricing control functions
• Assist in routine AR/AP operation and month-end closing
• Prepare AR aging and credit control reports for the business unit to ensure timely collections.
• Perform credit control functions following the company credit policy
• Validate contracts, price and rebate settings accuracy in the system
• Support billing and accounts receivable operations
• Monitor and report on group cash flow position and payable or receivable analysis.
• Assist in monthly accounting close and periodic group financial reports.
• Assist in liaising with the external auditor and handling financial enquiries from different parties.
• Participate in ad hoc assignments and projects.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance.

General Requirements

• Degree/ Higher Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Self-motivated, mature, able to work under pressure, persistent, with good supervisory, interpersonal, and communication skills and an analytical mind.
• Proficient in English and Chinese, as well as in computer applications.
• Knowledge of M365 applications and Power Platform.
• Excellent in Excel & Query
• A candidate with more experience will be considered as a Senior Accountant
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.
