Job summary

WORMS Safety is seeking an Accounting Officer to join our Finance team in Hong Kong. This hands-on role covers full-set accounting, month-end reporting, audit support and daily financial operations.

You will collaborate with internal departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data. The ideal candidate holds a diploma or above in Accounting or Finance, with 3–5 years of full-set accounting experience and proficiency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Accounting/Finance.
• 3–5 years of full-set accounting experience.
• Up-to-date knowledge of accounting, taxation standards and labour regulations.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-set accounting activities including AR, AP, GL and staff reimbursements.
• Prepare month-end financial reports and schedules.
• Perform bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Coordinate with internal departments on financial matters.
• Handle petty cash and payments; maintain documentation.
• Maintain filing records and regular reporting.
• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
• Provide general administrative support and assist on ad hoc tasks.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Officer to join our Finance team in Hong Kong. This is a hands-on role covering full-set accounting, month-end reporting, audit support and daily finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full-set accounting activities, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and staff reimbursements
• Prepare month-end financial reports, supporting schedules and account breakdowns within tight reporting deadlines
• Perform bank reconciliations and intercompany transaction/balance reconciliations
• Coordinate with internal departments on accounting matters and daily financial transactions
• Handle petty cash, payments and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate filing records, financial documentation and regular reporting
• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors, banks and other relevant parties
• Provide general administrative support and handle ad hoc assignments as required

Profile

• Diploma holder or above in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• 3–5 years of experience in full-set accounting
• Up-to-date knowledge of accounting and taxation standards, as well as relevant labour regulations
• Able to work independently, manage priorities and deliver accurately under tight deadlines
• Proactive, motivated, mature and stable, with a strong sense of integrity and responsibility
• Detail-oriented, analytical and well organised
• A collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, including PivotTables
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
• Experience using Xero is an advantage
