Job Title: Mobile HVAC Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mobile HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team covering sites in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Chesterfield, and Sheffield.
The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.
Role Summary:
- Identify and manage risks to the client through on-site equipment, including critical spares, performance improvement, environment management via BMS, and efficient plant operation, along with preventative maintenance.
- Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain a comfortable environment, liaising with clients on reactive and PPM tasks.
- Fault find on all types of HVAC plant and equipment, with a focus on Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems, and handle refrigerants safely with F-Gas qualifications.
- Support team health and safety initiatives.
- Act as Energy Champion and assist as Safety Champion for the site.
- Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
- Develop and follow risk assessments, addressing issues safely and accurately.
- Complete documentation in compliance with rules and legislation.
- Use mobile devices to project and complete work via the CAFM Maintenance System.
- Plan daily tasks using email and calendar tools for efficiency.
- Coordinate with onsite supervisors and account managers for building service issues.
- Deputize for the site supervisor during leave or sickness as required.
- Work overtime, including nights and weekends, with notice when possible.
- Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
- Supervise and manage subcontractors.
- Participate in an on-call rota for emergency call-outs outside normal hours.
Experience Required:
- A recognized or time-served apprenticeship.
- Proven experience in HVAC maintenance.
- Mechanical qualifications to City and Guilds standards.
- Strong multi-skilled abilities.
- Fault-finding skills.
- Supervisory skills for contractors.
- Ability to complete risk assessments and method statements.
- Understanding of permits and safe systems of work.
- F-Gas safe handling and refrigerant use.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Working at Height qualification.
- IPAF/PASMA certification.
- AP qualifications.
- BMS system experience.
- HVAC controls knowledge.
