Senior Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear & Defense Systems
Job summary
A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Glasgow. The role involves reviewing engineered parts, demonstrating CAD competencies, and managing data integrity. Candidates should have experience in the nuclear or aerospace sectors and a professional engineering qualification. This full-time position requires strong knowledge in Design for Manufacture and ASME standards.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer in the nuclear, aerospace, or regulated sector.
- Experience in ASME Y14.5 GD&T or equivalent standard.
- Understanding of safety legislation and obligations.
- High degree of knowledge around Design for Manufacture & inspection methods.
Responsibilities
- Review concessions of engineered parts ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
- Demonstrate CAD competencies for integration and modification activities.
- Manage data integrity and attention to detail is essential.
