Job title: Senior Research Manager

THE ROLE:

This is a fantastic opportunity to build and grow our Wealth Management research offering. This role will focus on the Wealth Management (WM) industry, generating benchmarks, competitor landscape, WM products, working closely with industry leaders and generating insights for their business. The role offers the opportunity for high profile interaction with senior stakeholders and leadership within the Wealth Management industry.

As a Senior Research Manager focused on WM you will be working within the CIB Competitor research division. Your focus will be around strategic and tactical decision-making in three areas:

• Competitor Benchmarks: Leading research and analysis into WMs performance levels and drivers in the Wealth Management industry
• Competitor insights: Developing strategic insight into the performance of leading players in the WM industry
• Product and Business development: Driving the product expansion of our WM offering and supporting business development teams in the sale of this product as the Subject Matter Expert

You will have the ability to:

• Immediately step into a client-facing role. You will run meetings and product deliveries to heads of businesses at major WMs.
• Build a network of market knowledgeable individuals to gather market insights
• Prepare commentaries documenting key takeaways and insights
• Own quantitative benchmarks and insight (with day-to-day support from our dedicated analytics team in India)
• Analyze and interpret analytics and present the output intelligently and impactfully to clients
• Drive and understand the competitor landscape and key performance differentiators within the WM space.

YOUR EXPERTISE:

• Bachelor’s degree required, post-graduate degree from a top business school .
• 5+ years of experience in financial services consulting, sales and trading, or corporate banking.
• Broad and detailed knowledge of Wealth Management, likely to have been gained from working at a Wealth Manager or within a Wealth Management division of a bank, the financial services practice of a consulting firm, or a specialist competitive intelligence firm.
• Excellent communications skills and the ability and willingness to present analysis to senior client stakeholders in an engaging manner.
• Analytical mindset and ability work with large datasets to derive compelling insights to support client business strategy.
• Robust project management skills demonstrated by track record of successfully delivering multiple concurrent projects and coordinating work across multiple teams or stakeholders.
• Strong degree of independence, drive, and self-motivation.
• Exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to easily build rapport with senior clients.
• Genuine interest in and passion for the financial services sector, along with a desire to further develop your knowledge and understanding of the sector.
