Job summary

VIQU IT is seeking a Zscaler Engineer to join the Cyber team on a contract basis, leading the migration of web proxy services from a legacy Trend system to ZIA. You will coordinate Infrastructure, Network and Security teams to deliver a data-driven technical migration within a structured delivery framework.

The role is based in Preston with ad hoc travel to site and primarily remote work, lasting 6 months, with a day rate inside IR35.

Qualifications

Extensive experience leading engineering teams across infrastructure, network and security transformations.
Proven ability to plan and execute large-scale proxy migrations with minimal disruption.
Strong data handling with advanced Excel for engineering control and analysis.
Expertise in Zscaler ZIA/ZPA and Azure environments.
Experience with Entra ID, SSO, SCIM and Conditional Access.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical leadership across Infrastructure and Network Engineering teams.
Oversee migration waves, cutover activities and rollback planning.
Coordinate interdependencies with infrastructure, application and network teams.
Govern core engineering dataset and artefacts and maintain engineering controls.
Report technical status, risks and dependencies to the project manager and stakeholders.
Ensure security standards and minimal service disruption during migration.
