Job summary
VIQ Limited is seeking a Zscaler Engineer on a contract basis to lead the migration of web proxy services from a legacy Trend solution to Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA). You will coordinate infrastructure, network and security teams and deliver the migration within a structured delivery framework.
Location is Preston with ad hoc travel to site; mostly remote. The role requires data-driven planning, strong Excel skills and the ability to manage waves, cutovers and rollback with minimal service
Qualifications
- Deep Zscaler ZIA/ZPA expertise and identity integration
- Azure IaaS and networking knowledge
- Strong data handling and Excel for engineering control
- Ability to operate in evolving technical environments
- Proven leadership of engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across Infrastructure and Network Engineering teams
- Oversee proxy migration workstream across on-premises and Azure estates
- Technical management of migration waves, cutover activities, and rollback planning
- Coordinate interdependencies with infrastructure, application, and network teams
- Govern core engineering dataset and support decision-making
- Provide technical assurance and reporting to project manager
- Identify and manage technical risks and issues
- Ensure quality across outputs
- Deliverables include migration datasets and progress reporting
