Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking a dedicated Hospitality Assistant (Zero Hours) to support smooth operations within our education catering service. The role is contracted to 0 hours per week but spans 42.6 weeks per year, with patterns around 5 out of 7 days.

You will greet guests, serve meals, know the menu, and help guests enjoy a seamless experience while following hygiene and safety standards across school sites. Training and progression are encouraged in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication with guests and colleagues.
• Flexibility to work 5 out of 7 days and across multiple school sites.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests and ensuring they have a pleasant experience.
• Serving customers with a personalised service and accurate orders.
• Becoming knowledgeable about the menu and making recommendations.
• Representing Chartwells and upholding brand image.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
