Job summary

Aramark is hiring a General Assistant at Northwood HQ to deliver exceptional catering and customer service within a key UK defence location. You will join a friendly team and support military personnel, civilian colleagues and visitors, contributing to a high standard of service.

Main duties include food and beverage service, kitchen prep, front-of-house tasks, till work, stock rotation and cleaning to maintain a spotless environment.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience is helpful but not essential.
• Ability to work as part of a team and occasionally on your own.
• Comfortable handling payments and till operations.
• Willingness to live and work in the UK and pass vetting checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers.
• Carry out general kitchen duties and food preparation.
• Perform front-of-house tasks such as clearing tables and serving customers.
• Handle till and payments efficiently and accurately.
• Restock items and rotate stock; keep areas clean and tidy.

Location: Northwood HQ, Sandy Lane, Northwood, HA6 3HP
Pay: £13.45 per hour
Hours: Permanent, Zero-hour contract (as required)

As a General Assistant at Northwood HQ, you\'ll be part of a friendly team providing outstanding catering and customer service within one of the UK\'s key military headquarters. Supporting military personnel, civilian colleagues and visitors, you\'ll enjoy a varied role, a strong team environment and the satisfaction of contributing to an organisation at the heart of UK defence operations

• Uniform provided and free on-site parking(Own or reliable transportrequireddue to remote location and limited public transport- Aramark does have a shuttle than runs locally, until 17:00)

What you\’ll do:

• Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers
• General kitchen duties, including food preparation including making sandwiches and cold food
• General front of house duties such as clearing tables, table service, customer service
• Till work and taking payments
• Restocking items and stock rotation
• General cleaning of front and back of house - Sweeping/Mopping and general housekeeping to ensure areas are always cleaned to a high standard.
  

What we\’re looking for:

• MUST live in the UK for the past 3 years and have the legal right to work here
• Able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
• Previous customer service experience is helpful, but not essential – we\’ll provide full training
• Comfortable working as part of a team and occasionally on your own
