Youth Worker

Location: Sutton

Position: Experienced Youth or Community Support Worker

Job Description

GSL is seeking an experienced Youth Worker to join an established Children's Service in Sutton. The role is to commence as soon as possible and will involve working during term time until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent position.

The school caters to pupils who are vulnerable and sometimes challenging. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop action plans for students across primary and secondary levels, actively participating in implementing programs that encourage learners to overcome barriers, enhance their skills, and achieve recognized qualifications.

Skills and Requirements
  1. Background in Youth Work, Education, or Care
  2. Graduates with specializations in Psychology, Special Needs, or Social and Emotional Mental Health are encouraged to apply
  3. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with families, carers, and a multidisciplinary team including teaching staff and educational psychologists
  4. Organized, patient, and confident with a good understanding of current issues affecting young people
