Job summary

Axcis Education are seeking a dedicated youth worker for a behavioural unit in Preston. The role demands experience supporting pupils with SEND, autism or SEMH and a background in youth work is preferred. You will provide 1:1 support and assist in lessons, working 8.30am–3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

The position is full-time on a long-term basis with potential for permanency for the right candidate, with pay starting at £14.30 per hour and regular DBS/compliance checks required.

Qualifications

• Background in youth work or hands-on experience with young people, especially those harder to reach or disengaged from education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs or challenging behaviours.
• Assist in lessons and classroom activities within a behavioural unit.
• Support pupils with autism spectrum conditions or SEMH needs and promote inclusive learning.
