Surrey County Council seeks a committed Youth Worker for the CYP Haven to support young people's emotional and mental health. This fixed-term role offers a salary starting at £27,544 for 28.8 hours per week, with opportunities for professional development and a supportive working environment. The starting salary for this position is £27,544 per annum for working 28.8 hours per week. This is based on the full time equivalent JNC points 17-20 (£34,431 - £36,837). This is a 12-month fixed term contract / secondment opportunity.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen in Surrey's Youth Offer Service for a Youth Worker Haven position. We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed Youth Worker to join our highly innovative and motivated 'Child First' Youth Offer service to work within our CYP Haven Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health team.
The role will primarily be based in the Northeast, with occasional responsibilities extending across the entire county.

About the Team
The youth offer service is a targeted youth work service embedded within Children's services Adolescent Service. The service works with the most vulnerable and at-risk young people and groups who fall into the Targeted and Intensive Support categories of Surrey's continuum of support.
The service's goal is to provide relational based youth work interventions to strengthen the young people's existing plans, improve life chances and reduce escalation to more expensive and intensive statutory services such as Youth Justice, Childrens services and Mental Health services.

About the Role
The CYP Haven provides a preventative service for young people in need of support in relation to their emotional, mental health and wellbeing. This role will sit within the Youth Offer strand of the Adolescent Service and will provide support for young people to prevent them from attending higher tier services or presentation at A&E.

We are a 7 day a week countywide provision and there is a requirement to work some evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the young people we support. We function as one service and will often deploy staff according to need in response to the issues presented across the county. This means from time to time you will be required to work in a different part of the County.
