Job summary

The Brownlee Foundation is seeking an Events Manager to deliver its primary school triathlon events across the UK. You will ensure smooth preparation, delivery and follow-up while maintaining high standards and safeguarding requirements.

You will build key relationships with schools and partners, coordinate event teams and volunteers, manage registrations, oversee on-site delivery and provide progress updates to the Head of Charity.

Qualifications

• Experience working in events.
• Passion for introducing young people to the benefits of physical activity.
• Desire to learn and develop alongside a charity with big ambitions.
• Passion for delivering faultless events with a children-centric focus.
• Well-organised with multi-tasking skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and be calm under pressure.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willing to drive a van.

Responsibilities

• Event Management: oversee venue bookings, equipment, pre-event deliveries, school registrations, on-site setup and health and safety compliance.
• Communication and Relationships: liaise with schools, collaborate with School Games Organisers, Active Partnerships and sponsors; manage supplier relationships.
• Event Team and Volunteer Management: coordinate team availability, accommodation, transport and expense forms.
• Reporting: keep registration, attendance and incident records; process post-event feedback and report progress to leadership.
• Wider Operations: assist with admin tasks, run the bowling night fundraiser and bike giveaways after events.
