Job summary

Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Youth or Support Worker for the Complications of Excess Weight (CEW) service at UHD. This fixed-term post covers 16 hours per week for 12 months, with interview scheduled for 20 November.

The role requires Wednesday attendance to join MDTs and possible evening work, plus access to a car with business insurance to support remote community and home visits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people or families in health/social care contexts.
• Ability to work in community settings and engage with diverse groups.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Driver with access to a car and business insurance (preferred).

Responsibilities

• To monitor the implementation and provision of care and support for children in the CEW service at UHD.
• To help young people with excess weight access the support services they need.
• Link with local and national teams to keep up to date with programme, network and recommendations.
• To actively encourage patient engagement in the ongoing development of personalised care and support initiatives.
