Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset is seeking a part-time Youth Worker for the Complications of Excess Weight (CEW) service at UHD in Poole. The role is fixed-term for 12 months, 16 hours per week, with Wednesday involvement and potential evening work to support families.

The post requires access to a car with business insurance; remote community work is possible, including client homes. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Youth Work or equivalent experience.
• Good IT skills including word processing and spreadsheets.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor care and support for children in the CEW service.
• Help young people with excess weight access the support services they need.
• Engage with local and national teams to stay updated on programme and recommendations.
• Encourage patient engagement in personalised care and support initiatives.
