Job summary

White Trees Group, part of SureCare Residential Ltd, provides safe, supportive homes for young people facing complex challenges. This Children’s Support Worker role is permanent and focuses on trauma-informed, child-centred care to help young people grow and heal.

You will support care planning, maintain reflective records, and work within a committed team. The position requires empathy, boundaries, and a collaborative approach to safeguarding and daily routines.

Responsibilities

• Support and encourage young people to reach their full potential.
• Create a warm, safe and tidy home environment that promotes wellbeing.
• Build trust whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
• Empower young people to develop skills such as cooking, travel, and self-care.
• Support care planning - contribute to risk assessments, positive behaviour plans, and individual goals.
• Keep accurate, reflective records and complete effective shift handovers.
• Administer medication, manage petty cash responsibly and ensure safety checks are completed.
• Drive company vehicles to transport young people to school, appointments, and activities.
• Work collaboratively with your team, attend meetings and training, and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
