Rotherwood Cares in Liverpool area is seeking Experienced Support Workers to assist young people in supported living settings, delivering practical and emotional support tailored to each individual’s needs. You will help them build confidence, independence and resilience while staying safe and engaged with education, training, and employment opportunities.

In this role you will foster positive relationships, act as a role model, and support young people to work towards their personal goals,

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable young people or adults in care, housing, or support settings.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsabilités

• Supporting young people within their supported living placements
• Building positive and trusting relationships
• Promoting independence and life skills development
• Supporting with budgeting, cooking, cleaning and tenancy responsibilities
• Encouraging engagement with education, training and employment opportunities
• Supporting young people to attend appointments and access community services
• Working alongside social workers, personal advisors and external agencies
• Completing welfare checks and risk assessments
• Promoting safeguarding and responding appropriately to concerns
• Maintaining accurate records, daily logs and case notes
• Supporting young people to achieve outcomes identified within their support plans
• Managing challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner
